Ravaged by the Yeti – Snowbound Horror

Genre: Death Metal
About: Ravaged by the Yeti is an international death metal project founded in 2020 by Swedish guitarist/vocalist Rogga Johansson (Paganizer, Ribspreader), built around old-school death metal with a grindcore edge and a tongue-in-cheek Yeti mythology concept. Following a lineup shakeup after their acclaimed 2023 debut "Apex Predator," Johansson regrouped with American bassist Mike Borders (ex-Massacre) and British drummer Jon Rudin (Monstrous). "Snowbound Horror" is their sophomore full-length, released via Testimony Records. Listen on Spotify.

DevilDriver – Strike and Kill

About: DevilDriver is a long-running American groove metal band fronted by Dez Fafara (also of Coal Chamber), formed in Santa Barbara, California. "Strike and Kill" is their eleventh studio album, released via Napalm Records, and marks the return of founding bassist Jon Miller (absent since 2011's "Beast") alongside guitarists Alex Lee and Gabe Mangold (Enterprise Earth) and drummer Davier Pérez. Apogean – Waste Where Life Begins

Following their 2021 debut EP "Into Madness" and 2024 debut full-length "Cyberstrictive" (inspired by Orwell and Bradbury), the band's sophomore album "Waste Where Life Begins" pushes further into blackened death metal, neofolk, and atmospheric territory. It's released via The Artisan Era, with mixing/mastering by Zack Ohren. Listen on Spotify.

Snorlax – Toxic Current

Genre: Blackened Deathgrind
About: Snorlax is the solo project of Australian multi-instrumentalist Brendan Auld (Black Blood Audio) in Brisbane, born from an experimental recording session in 2017. Building on the cavernous, dissonant black/death metal style of earlier releases like "The Necrotrophic Abyss" (2023), "Toxic Current" pushes the project into deathgrind territory and includes covers of fellow Australian acts Agents of Abhorrence and The Fevered. It's out via Avantgarde Music's death metal division, Unorthodox Emanations. Listen on Spotify.

No Cure – It Is Going to Get Dark

Genre: Metallic Hardcore/Deathcore
About: No Cure is a straight-edge metallic hardcore band from Birmingham, Alabama, active since 2022, known for blending death metal precision with DIY hardcore aggression. "It Is Going to Get Dark" is their debut full-length album, recorded with longtime collaborator Kevin Langley in a secluded Alabama cabin, following earlier EPs and singles. The album features guest vocal appearances and is released via SharpTone Records. Listen on Spotify.
